The Solution Consulting Service’s Network solutions architect is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical consulting, and advisory services for clients both inside and outside the company. The Architect functions in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity, with broad horizontal skill sets and a core competency in networking, packet analysis and security technologies. Architects are competent in key areas such as solution design, production support, relationship building, and client interaction.
Responsibilities include understanding and evaluating current network implementation at client sites and determine any gaps compared to the strategic business direction. Demonstrates experience in working in a team that analyzes, designs, troubleshoots, and implements network architectures and solutions in order to best meet client requirements; leverages resources from different teams to ensure that customer needs are met. Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance. Determines approach for customer, based on assessment of customer needs.
- Demonstrate technical and advisory skills for customers, sales, and other consultants and effectively communicates the technical and business message
- Advance the art and methodologies used internally for the delivery of customer solutions
- Successfully participate in complex customer accounts or company projects, bridging between the needs of the customer and the company
- Work with Business Development Managers and Sales Account Teams to provide technical and business expertise, inner workings of the consulting business and delivery of consulting solutions, such that company service offerings and technical capabilities are maximized on each customer engagement
- Proposed solutions exceed customer expectations by creating additional value and the need for future engagements through implementations that meet technical requirements, target schedule milestones and budgets
- Provide local teams with in depth knowledge of new advances in networking and security technologies
- Actively participate in implementations, migrations, 24x7 support on all turn key project to all levels of hosting, operations, service level delivery, and support
- Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience with designing, planning and trouble-shooting complex network infrastructure in datacenter environment with expertise in Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Advanced Sniffers from Cisco, Juniper, Arista and NetScout manufacturers.
- Have a high degree of competency in technical areas: Networking Protocols/Services like BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, STP, RSTP, 802.1Q, Port-Channel, Flex Link, SPAN, VLAN, VTP, 10GigE, GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, T1, DS3, SONET, GTM, LTM, DNS, and Application Firewalls.
- Have a high degree of competency in Multicast technologies, Packet Analysis and Firewall configuration tools
- Exceptional communications capabilities, giving presentations, and speaking publicly. Must be approachable, a team player with a strong desire to continue learning and expanding their experience in a highly evolving technology focused environment. Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Advanced degree preferred
- Certification(s) in areas of expertise: CCNP, CCIP or higher
